--- The Barre City Fire Department consists of 1 Full-Time Fire  
   Chief, 18 Full-Time  International Association of Fire Fighters
   Local 881 members, & Approximately 20 Call   force (Pay per Call

--- Full-Time members of Local 881 work a 24-hour shift on-duty          
     which starts at 7:00 am  and runs to 7:00 am the following
   morning.   A duty shift is then followed by 72-hour off  duty.  

--- Station minimum manning is required 3 members at the station or
   available to respond at all times.  As ambulance and fire calls are
   received off duty members are called to cover the station until the
   duty crew clears the call.

--- The Barre City Fire Department currently operates  3 - Engines
   /Rescue Pumpers, 1 - Tower Truck, 3 ALS Ambulances,  
   2 -  Utility Trucks,  1 -  Haz-mat Deacon Trailer,  
   1 - Technical Rescue Trailer, 1-  Command Vehicle and
   1 - Paramedic Intercept Car.
